SSAW Funding available for Engage Programme
ENGAGE is a MEDIA-funded training initiative for writers, directors and producers built upon one simple idea; to foster creative collaboration across borders. Running over nine months, it offers a three-stage programme of workshops delivered by qualified staff and active industry professionals in Ireland, Estonia, Finland and Scotland.
Applications for the 2010 programme are now open. We are pleased to announce that if a SSAW student or recent graduate is selected, SSAW will cover the 500 Euros participation fee which includes accommodation but not travel. The deadline for applications to ENGAGE is 29 January 2010. Click here for application details.
‘Word into Action’ International Competition for Talented Directors

Two grants of up to £10,000 are being made available by The Pears Foundation Short Film Fund at the UK Jewish Film Festival for the production of a short film or video with a Jewish theme of significance to both Jewish and general public audiences and a max length of 10 minutes. Travel Camerman and Filmmaker Wanted!
A talented Undergraduate/Postgraduate Filmmaker and a Cameraman are urgently required by a production company to produce a series of travel documentary on more than 40 destinations. The selected candidates would form part of the team who would travel constantly with the presenter of the programme and her crew for filming in the most beautiful and exquisite places around the globe.
